Welcome to the U.S.S Zeus NCC 9100-A!

background

Attention all Starfleet Personnel! The galaxy is expanding, and we need the best and brightest to lead the charge into uncharted space. If you are seeking a rich, sandbox-style roleplaying experience with deep lore, boundless exploration, and a welcoming community, your new assignment awaits!

THE LORE: A NEW FRONTIER
The Year is 2408 (Alternate Timeline).
While on a routine patrol in the farthest, darkest reaches of the Delta Quadrant, the U.S.S. Ganymede bore witness to a cosmic miracle: the spontaneous manifestation of a fully stable wormhole. Driven by insatiable human curiosity, Captain Horacio Sapata deployed a volley of Class 8 and Class 9 probes into the swirling aperture. The telemetry and data that beamed back were nothing short of startling—and an absolute delight to the scientific community. The Ganymede immediately relayed this groundbreaking discovery to Starfleet Command and set a course for home.
Over the following standard years, Starfleet Intelligence worked in strict tandem with Starfleet Stellar Cartography to map and classify this entirely new region of space, officially dubbing it "The Sigma Prime Quadrant. "The gateway was open. The maps were drawn. All they needed was a ship capable of braving the unknown.

⚙️ THE SHIP: A PANTHEON OF POWER ⚙️
Following the monumental success of the Enterprise-F and the Odyssey Class starships (named in honor of the Greek poet Homer), Starfleet realized they were exhausting their traditional naming registries. Returning to the drawing board, Starfleet Intelligence commissioned an elite new fleet of starships, each bearing the name of the Greek Pantheon.
At the head of this fleet is the Flagship: The U.S.S. Zeus, named for the king of the gods himself.
The initial prototype, bearing the registry NCC-9100, suffered a catastrophic failure during its maiden warp testing. Undeterred, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers constructed something sleeker, faster, and infinitely more resilient. Thus, the U.S.S. Zeus NCC-9100-A was born.

THE CAPTAIN & THE MISSION
As the U.S.S. Noble returned home across the Alpha Quadrant, its Executive Officer, Commander Ian Dax, prepared for standard shore leave. But destiny had other plans. When the Noble docked at drydock, Admiral Joel Quinn was waiting on the gantry. Pulling Commander Dax aside, Quinn issued a battlefield promotion right then and there.

Now holding the rank of Captain, Ian Dax has been given command of the U.S.S. Zeus NCC-9100-A. His standing orders? To pilot the flagship through the stable wormhole, chart the Sigma Prime Quadrant, and make first contact with whoever—or whatever—is waiting on the other side.
